Did I say girlfriend…not for long! The weekend after they broke up, Chris and I went on our first real date. After dinner we stopped by his apartment to meet with some friends. When we walked in Ben (his old roommate and one of my favorites) tried to quietly get us to leave. We had no idea what was going on when Chris’ tear-filled old girlfriend came walking out of his room. Man, she was not happy to see me! I don’t blame her though, I wouldn’t want to let him go either.
Two years later (and after many many late night trips from Pleasant View to Murray) we got engaged. Chris surprised me with a picnic full of beautiful flowers, candles, and all my favorite foods! It was so sweet. He was bummed because the hot air balloon ride he had planned couldn't take off because of the weather. I still thought it was perfect!
And a few months later I married my best friend in the Salt Lake Temple.

I don't think I've shared pics of our moms yet, so here they are. Aren't they beautiful?
Then we spent the next week in Cancun!

And now we have been married for three years in July. Love ya babe!

Everything is ready and I’m stoked. I got a new camera
and lens
I'm so excited that I am actually taking notes in my camera’s manual and reading this book.
To be prepared for the big day, I got Kami to come out with me to experiment a little with my camera. Thanks for all your help Kam! My niece makes the perfect model. Here are some of the pics I snapped and put in my first collage in photoshop.
* I love cheesy things! Little comments or movies that make most people roll their eyes and gag...I think they are sweet!
Have you ever had one of those nights when all you do is toss and turn, get up, lay back down, and stare at the clock as you watch your precious sleep time disappear? You roll over and see your husband knocked out cold and it takes all the strength from the bottom of your being to not poke him just to make sure he isn’t awake too (hey, misery likes company). Last night was one of those long nights. Why? I’ll show you…
So here we are after Zander’s blessing last Sunday. Breklyn (bottom left) started the baby trend with Ivy and baby Zander, then Amelia (top left) had her brand new baby Tysha this week, and Holly (top right) has about 10 weeks left before we meet her baby Trey, and Steph (bottom right) is just starting her second trimester. These girls are going to be busy! The best part of the day was when Steph sang me the Seasame Street song “one of these things is not like the others…” Very funny Steph! :)
A day spent in front of a camera isn't supposed to be this much fun! We drove all around downtown sneaking in front of people's garage doors and climbing up old buildings so Kami could capture the perfect shot! It was nice just being with each other!
Kami asked us to write a word that describes each other on our hands. Chris wrote passionate and I wrote determined. If you know Chris, you know how determined he is in life. I thought if I wrote perfect, which he absolutely is, people might get a little jealous!
After millions of buckets of balls and tons of freezing cold rounds, the hard work finally paid off. Today we won our first golf tournament! Go Davis! Thirty two girls compete and we had three in the top ten! I can’t even explain how proud I am of my girls.
This is Utah’s first year of having a girl’s high school golf team and I am stoked about how well it’s going. When all the other high schools could barely get enough players to compete, I had 30 girls ready to go! I am so lucky that Chris helps out a bunch so we were able to keep them all (yes, I know its not a football team and we will definitely make cuts next year,
but we wanted to get the program off to a good start). These girls are so fun and we just laugh together, and aren't they cute!

So to my classroom, I am sad to leave you and its unfortunate teachers care more about their potty time than my teaching. Did I tell you there is a bathroom right at the end of the hall?
Most people anticipate spring time when the grass starts poking up through the snow and swimming suits suddenly appear at Target. For most people, spring is a time of cleaning, sunshine, and being twitterpated.
Last summer we went to a couple Boston games. I haven’t quite made it to Fenway yet, but I feel it’s inevitable in my future. Hey, at least Chris didn’t make me go to a double header on our honeymoon like Chris’ dad made his mom. Although, if the Red Sox played in Cancun I’m sure we would have been there.

Really the only word that comes to mind
when I think of my hubby is survival.
Chris is surviving. Anyone else endured
pharmacy school? For now, Hayes
is keeping us ridiculously busy and
it's sad to say but we love it.
I am having a blast doing some
photography and being able to spend some
time with my little buddy while he's still
little, well kind of little anyway. If you
asked Hayes about himself he'd probably
tell you that he spends most of his time
being entertained by his parents or
thinking of ways to get his parents to
entertain him. We love our little stink!
